Jessie – 0419

This is my story:

Jessie is a 12-year-young pit mix who was found as a stray in the city. She was in pretty rough shape when she arrived at the shelter—underweight and had given birth to multiple litters throughout her previous life. After she was spayed, the staff at the shelter felt Jessie would do better recovering in a real home, so she found her way to Nuts for Mutts. Her foster mom says Jessie is just the sweetest thing who really loves getting lots and lots of attention! Don’t let Jessie’s age fool you–she still has a lot of “kick in her step.” In fact, she loves going on walks. She has some arthritis in her hips and knees, so the walks aren’t that long, but she enjoys them thoroughly. She has made good friends with the resident dog and cats in her foster home. If the cats move too fast, she will occasionally chase them to see what’s going on. On occasion you may even see her play with a tennis ball. Jessie also enjoys treats—any kind will do! Jessie is seeking a quiet retirement home where she can hang out with her people. Because of her arthritis, a home without many stairs is needed. Click on Jessie’s Adopt Me button below and submit an application for her today!!

**Nuts for Mutts only adopts to the greater Rochester, NY area.**
