At Nuts For Mutts Rescue, we understand that life can throw us humans some unhappy circumstances that are beyond our control, making it necessary for family members to need re-homing. We do take owner surrenders as long as we have appropriate foster homes and needed resources to properly care for the dogs. In order to determine if we can accept a dog into our rescue program, we need to have a completed Surrender Application. Please answer all questions as thoroughly and honestly as possible! We don’t expect any dog to be perfect, but the more we know the better foster and adoptive home match we can make.
Please note that we cannot accept any dogs with a known history of biting humans. Upon acceptance of a dog into the rescue program, the owner will sign a Surrender Agreement when the dog is transferred. We also ask the owner to provide all available medical records and other items that will aid in the care and placement of the dog. At the time of transfer, the dog will become the property of Nuts for Mutts Rescue, Inc. Surrender donations are not required, but are welcomed and appreciated!
